25 Anniversary Celebration

Winders of 25 Shades of Grey Guild 25 Anniversary Challenge

We Celebrated 25 years of Quilting

Join the celebration

In celebration of this event we hosted a guild challenge entitled “25 Shades of Gray”.  Our Guild members put on their creative thinking caps and joined in.  The parameters stipulated that 25 different shades of gray be used in your piece.   This could be fabric, embellishments, etc. and  your piece cannot exceed  54x66.  You can also use as many other colours as you deem fit.  You can view the submited quilts by following the 25 Shades of Gray link.

The guild membership voted (Viewers Choice); and winners were chosen at the Gala Banquet.  They are pictured above (right to left): Mary Hopkins - first, Marjorie Mansell - second, and Susand Harrington - third.

The May meeting is going to be a Gala Banquet and will encompass a fabulous meal along with a special guest speaker and trunk show.  This is truly going to be a wonderful evening.  The winners of the Challenge will be revealed this night and the following day our guest speaker will teach us a new technique at a workshop.  Details will be found in the Guild Newsletter.

Dare I say more.  This is a fantastic time to join the Royal City Quilters Guild and celebrate 25 years.
